5 out of 5 AMAZING Stars !!!
This book was amazing I mean over the top and possibly one of the best books I have read this year.
I
loved the way she wrote the story I was laughing, yelling, crying, any
emotion you could go through with a book I experienced with this one and
I loved every part of it .
I mean come on the first word in the book is Motherfucker.
The
book starts off with them in high school and how Abby and Jameson's
relationship starts then moves on to the first chapter I love how she
did this I like that she gave a little insight to how their relationship
starts and then moves on to the present.
The
only thing that threw me for a loop was how Abby did not remember who
he was. I mean he knew exactly who she was (even though he didn't say
anything to her) so I am kinda wondering how she didn't know who he was
if she was so in love with him . I guess she wanted to play it out with a
little more drama doing it the way the author did and it still worked
out great don't get me wrong I just didn't understand it .
The
book was fantastic, I loved all the characters in the book they all
played such a valuable role in Abby's life and with Alex.
Oh
Alex I loved him. I loved how much he had been through and was going
through and was still so strong and did what he had to for Izzy .
As well as Abby she went through a shit ton of things and was still strong enough to get up everyday.
She
was everything I look for in a female character Katheryn did and
amazing job with this book I am extremely happy that I got a chance to
read and review this book.
Now Jameson oh where to start on this lovely lovely man :)
He was HOT !
He was also scared of turning into his father so he did everything in his power to stop that from happening ...
I
like how when him and Abby got things worked out they stayed that way
there was no I love you and I am going to fight it, when it got to that
point it stayed there (well things got scary for a little bit there but
everything worked out ) .
All around I loved this book as I have probably said too many times and would definitely recommend it to all of my friends
I was told by a trusted
friend (Savannah) that I HAD to read this book, so being the good book bitch I
am..I read it! Thanks be to the powerful
reading goddess I did. What a powerfully,
well written and moving debut novel.
Written in a dual POV and done in a way that captured the true feelings
of both Abby and Jameson in a beautifully poetic way.
Years ago a love began,
after a boy helped a bullied girl..and in one swoop it was gone. Surviving that swoop of destiny, Abby became
the front-woman of a nationally revered rock band and co-owner of a flourishing
music label. Jameson was a guitar
playing, recently out of the Marines young man that couldn’t seem to find his
way past a petite red-head that had captured his heart years before. One audition, a drug addicted player’s
choice, and his past comes face to face with his present and what he hopes to
be his future.
This is where the story is a little far-fetched to me, the fact that Abby
doesn’t recognize “Jamie”..a moment I was still
able to rationalize in my reading head as, people mature and memories fade..so
the book moved on for me pretty flawlessly.
Abby and Jameson fight
demons and reality to be together, knowing the world doesn’t hold their future they
do. The love they found years ago in a
High School hallway was the beginning and end for them.
This is a rock star
romance, with heart, loss, ever lasting love, grit and it made me cry. I don’t know what it is with books lately but
I am tearing up like a hormonal teenager. I
don’t cry people..I highly recommend this book!
It left it’s mark..
Excerpt
Motherfuckers. Just because I’m a freshman doesn’t mean anything. I don’t usually let myself get walked all over, but I just can’t seem to help it. I’m a freshman. Fresh fucking meat and I have to behave myself. It doesn’t help my case that I’m probably the smallest person here, or that I have bright red hair and glasses. Nope that just makes it easier to stomp on me.
The only person I know at this school is my twin brother Alex. But even he doesn’t know how to handle how they treat me. He’s the lucky one out of the two of us. Somehow he got the height and ended up a blonde instead of a goddamn ginger. As a freshman, he already stood five feet nine, and the doctors don’t expect him to stop growing anytime soon. Me... They say I probably won’t make it over five four.
Fuck my life.
