Release Blitz ~ A Secret for a Secret (All In #3) by Helena Hunting @HelenaHunting #AllInseries #KingandQueenie

A Secret for a Secret, an all-new must read forbidden standalone romance that is sure to have you swooning from the start by New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting, is available now!

ASFAS - AN.jpg

From New York Times bestselling author Helena Hunting comes a new romance about trading secrets, breaking the rules, and playing for keeps.

My name is Ryan Kingston, and I’m a rule follower. I’ve never been in a fistfight. I always obey the speed limit. I don’t get drunk, and I definitely don’t pick up random women at bars.

Except the night I found out that my whole existence has been a lie.

I got drunk. And picked up a stranger.

Her name was Queenie, and she was everything I’m not: reckless, impulsive, and chaotic. We did shots and traded secrets. And ended up naked at my place.

She left me a thank-you note in the morning and her panties as a parting gift. But no way to contact her.

Six weeks later I’m sitting in the first official team meeting of the season, and there she is. I neglected to mention that I’m the goalie for Seattle’s NHL team.

And Queenie? Turns out she’s the general manager’s daughter.

My new favorite in this series, A Secret for a Secret was a delightfully sweet, sinfully sexy romance. Since meeting Ryan "King" Kingston in A Favor for a Favor, I was curious about this wholesome hockey player, and could not wait for his story. I had a hunch there was more to this strait-laced goalie than meets the eye and boy was he a pleasant surprise. What began as an evening of drinking, sharing secrets, and unbridled passion forever changed this couple's lives. A humorous and heartwarming opposites-attract love story, with a hint of drama and all the feels, King and his Queenie had me giggling and swooning throughout this entire read.

One drunken evening two strangers met, each feeling vulnerable, and decided to share their deepest secrets. The attraction between them was so intense, both were all in for an unforgettable one-night stand and later, haunted by the memories. It took a few months for King and Queenie's paths to cross again as they now work for the same NHL team. His hot hookup turned out to be the general manager's daughter, and worse, he unknowingly broke a significant rule ~ Queenie was off-limits. But that didn't stop King from pursuing and claiming his fair queen.

King was not your average hockey player and he threw me for a loop in a good way. I'm so used to the broody and abrasive hero typically found in sports romances. Then along came King, who was more boy scout than bruiser as he was gentle, patient, and incredibly loving. Even-tempered and a rule follower, he was the perfect gentleman with a tremendous heart. The way he loved, encouraged and protected Queenie had me gushing.

King also possessed a delectable dirty side that I completely LOVED. Beneath that clean-cut persona, lived a lustful and dominant man, who was a beast. I just adored both sides of his personality.

Queenie Masterson was a flaky hot mess. Funny, witty, and beyond kind, she was a sweet and likable heroine. Pandemonium seemed to surround her, which I found endearing, as it only added to her sparkling personality. Her chaos added light and life to King's relatively calm world.

However, Queenie struggled with insecurity issues, believing she was unworthy and inadequate, especially when it came to accomplishing goals. I admired the way she fought to overcome these feelings of self-doubt to find her courage, passion, and strength. And with King by her side, it was a beautiful thing to see Queenie blossom.

I enjoyed every moment of King and Queenie's journey, as they had a deep connection, a tremendous amount of chemistry, and complemented each other beautifully. Great fun spending time with this loony crew of both old favorites and lovable new characters. The Waters' kiddies were adorable and I could not help falling in love with them. The relationship between Queenie and Lavender Waters was particularly touching. A Secret for a Secret was another fun and flirty romantic comedy from Hunting's creative imagination. If you are looking for an amusing and sexy read, this romance is definitely for you.

Release Blitz Absolution Disenchanted Series #3 L.D.Davis

My life didn't take the path I'd intended years ago, but I had much to be thankful for. My family, me new friends and my improving health, just to name a few. I thought for I also had Marco to be thankful for, despite our differences, but after a trip to Italy, his relationship with his past made my hope for our future slip through my fingers.

Start your journey with Marco and Lydia here:
Disenchanted #1

Perseverance #2

Universal Link: mybook.to/lddPerseverance

Since reading Disenchanted, I became addicted to the drama surrounding Marco and Lydia's lives. So much passion, heartache, and regret consumed these characters in the first two installments, I was eagerly awaiting its conclusion and incredibly anxious for this finale. Absolution did not disappoint and, in my opinion, the best read of the series. An erotic romance filled with extreme relationship angst L.D. Davis set me on a volatile roller-coaster ride, which had me on edge, as she both shattered and mended my heart. A testament to this author's talents, my emotions were twisted into knots, and I loved every nail-biting and soul-crushing moment.

In the previous installments, I've had my fair share of issues with Lydia, as I was both fascinated and extremely frustrated with her character. I understood she was consumed with guilt and regrets from the past, namely the unresolved problems with her sister and late husband. Her struggle to overcome those demons while falling for Marco pulled at my heartstrings as it undoubtedly affected their relationship. But it was difficult to sympathize with Lydia during the times she became too contentious and acted immaturely.

However, the Lydia that appeared within this read was the heroine I wished for, and I fell in love with her. She evolved from a woman who repeatedly tried my patience to someone I truly admired. Despite her tragic circumstances, Lydia found the courage and inner strength to trust and fully open her heart to Marco. Falling in love with this sexy Italian was not without its challenges as some members of his family added to their mounting troubles. Their journey, although beautiful, was also heartbreaking, aggravating and incredibly messy at times. The more complications they faced, the more twisted my emotions became, and I savored every tension-filled second.

A swoon-worthy and passionate hero with a heart of gold, I adored Marco. A man so full of love and hope, he was determined to pull Lydia away from her dark and joyless life, despite her ornery and stubborn attitude. Overly caring, I admired how he tended to his family's needs, especially his nieces, nephews, and Lydia's children. There was an intensity, a fierceness to his character that overwhelmed me - particularly the way he deeply loved his "Tesoro" - Lydia, his precious treasure. However, there were times his actions and bad choices wreaked havoc on my nerves. There was so much angst in this story-line, mostly when it came to dealing with his vile sister-in-law Celia clashing with Lydia that drove me completely insane, and I was beyond enraged. Regardless, Marco was amazingly gentle and loving, as he helped to heal Lydia's fragile heart and earn her trust.

To fully appreciate the true beauty of Marco and Lydia's tumultuous love story, you'll need to read this series in its entirety, as this is not a standalone novel. If you are looking for an emotional romance brimming with a fiery passion and angst, with a couple who strives for their well-deserved happily ever after, I highly recommend this series. Exquisitely written and with all the feels, L.D. Davis delivered a remarkable and unforgettable saga of destined love.

Exclusive Excerpt:

“Anyway, about Erik. Did you see those arms? I bet he could bench-press me. Maybe you and me at the same time even.” Josie fanned herself with a lazy hand. Richard’s teeth flashed, then vanished just as quickly. “Girl, he could hang one of us from each bicep and do curls. If that guy doesn’t have a thirst-trap Insta account with a billion workout ab shots, then I quit life.” Her fingers involuntarily twitched toward her phone to search “hot Chicago baker,” but she forced them to behave. “Too bad he’s not my type.” Richard paused with his coffee cup halfway to his lips. “Excuse me? I thought Nordic god-men were everyone’s type.” She reached for another sugar packet. “Big and brooding’s nice to look at, but I’m more into confidence and a three-piece suit.” She dumped the crystals into her already-sweet coffee and stirred, looking up when Richard snorted. “Oh yeah? And how did your last five dates with the suit-wearing ‘so-confident-it-borders-on-narcissism’ guys go?” Richard just laughed when Josie stirred her coffee harder. “I’m not saying date the hot baker, and anyway, you probably already scared him off. But I am saying maybe what you think is your type is really more your mom’s type, and you’re only dating them to win her approval.” “Hey!” Her mug hit the table with a thunk, and Richard raised his hands in surrender. “Ooooh, sorry. I retract. It’s your fault and your fault alone that you’re the most single girl in Chicago.” “Damn righ— Hey!” she said again, but he just laughed evilly and went to fetch another refill for himself. She twisted in her chair to call after him, “Everybody loves a man in a suit!” but her words were lost in the scream of the cappuccino machine. She exhaled a similar gust of hot, agitated air and turned back around in time to see the door swing open to admit the big blond baker. And her eyes hadn’t deceived her during their previous two meetings. Erik Andersson was, to dust off a word she hadn’t had much use for previously, positively strapping. All he needed was an ax and a blue ox. Nope. Definitely not her type. Bright blue eyes swept the crowded shop and landed on her. As before, not even the tiniest flicker in his somber expression showed that he recognized her as he weaved through the packed tables with surprising grace for such a big man. When he reached the table, he stood close enough that the scent of vanilla on his skin edged out the acrid burn of coffee beans. “Hi.” She tipped her head up, up, up. “Do me a solid and sit down before I permanently damage my neck.” He complied and laced his fingers together on the table in front of him. “Hello,” he said, studying her with a frown hovering at the edge of those unreadable blue eyes. Yet again, she was reminded of her uncharacteristically frazzled appearance. She couldn’t have paused to apply a little lip gloss at some point? “Hey! You made it!” To cover her nerves, she held her hand up for a high five, and after a moment’s hesitation, Erik delivered the world’s most gentle smack to her palm. His dinner-plate hand dwarfed hers. Mmmm. Big hands, big— “Sorry to interrupt.” Richard was back with his refill and a wry smile. Damn his timing.
