Wyatt Conner is a hard man. A sixth generation sheriff         in his hometown of Garnet. A former MMA fighter. His life is about following the rules and making sure everyone else in Garnet follows them too. life hurt him, Wyatt was different. Love had once blinded him to his upbringing and made him defiant against anyone who tried to separate him from the girl he loved. He easily broke laws to ensure her safety. When she left it destroyed him. Now she's back.
Tabitha knew coming home was a mistake, but family obligation demanded it. She wasn’t expecting to run smack into the love of her life the same day she returned.

Despite the danger, Tabitha is powerless against the wild rush of desire that explodes between them the moment she finds herself in Wyatt’s arms again. She needs a second chance too, but she can't risk Wyatt finally discovering the real reason she left.
Even for another taste of true love.
Tabitha knows her haunted past will destroy both of them if Wyatt finds out. What she suffered through was too terrible and it's the one thing that will have him crossing the line for revenge.

The next text confirmed his sister knew him better than he knew himself.
But we both know she makes you stupid. You’re probably curled up naked and daydreaming about happy endings and redheaded grandbabies.
Wyatt rolled his eyes, not for the first time cursing the powers that be that stuck him with a twin. He and Jules thought and acted alike more than either of them was willing to admit. It made very little difference that Jules was a woman. The reason she knew he was dumb for love was she was more than guilty of the exact same thing.
The past year taught them all that.
He was still pondering it when another message popped up, and he could almost hear the panicked desperation in Jules voice as he read it.
Please don’t let her hurt you again.
Wyatt held down the button until his phone turned off rather than acknowledge his sister who had just put voice to his darkest fears and left him feeling open and exposed to the point that the pain in his chest doubled and his breathing fell shallow.
He tossed it on the bed with more force than necessary, and Tabitha shifted over him, as if sensing his sudden bout of anxiety at the thought of losing her again. She smoothed a hand down his chest, making it clear they still shared a truly unique connection that left them joined in far more ways than just the superficial sexual attraction that had always been crippling in its intensity.
“Are you okay?” she asked, her voice heavy with sleep.
He hated that everything in him tensed at the sound of the soul-deep exhaustion he could hear beneath her concern. It made him want to wrap her up in his arms and keep her safe from the world. He wanted to resent her for churning up his protective instincts so easily, but it just wasn’t there. Instead he just soothed a hand down the slender curve of her bare back, savoring the feel of her smooth skin.
He leaned down and kissed the top of her head, unable to help the action because her hair really was startling beautiful in the sun. “I’m fine, darlin’.”
She blinked up at him, studying his face intently for several long seconds before she whispered, “Liar.”
A smile quirked at the corner of his mouth. He couldn’t hide from her. He was anything but fine, but rather than confirm her suspicions he just caressed her back once more. “Go back to sleep.”
She hummed. The sound was soft and sweet, and something that made the nostalgia almost overwhelming because Tabitha had always been a very quiet person. To others she was often hard to read, but Wyatt had always heard the unspoken message in those little sighs. He wasn’t even surprised when she pressed her lips to his collarbone next. He could feel the sheen of goose bumps travel over his skin at the brush of her breath, warm and featherlight against his chest as she continued to press soft, loving kisses against it. Her hand ran over his abdominal muscles and down to his waist as she shifted over him, giving herself better access to his body.
He watched her, entranced as her eyes drifted close as if she were savoring touching him as much as he enjoyed letting her. Her hand slid down to his ass, cupping it as another soft sigh of indulgence slipped past her lips.
“I missed you, Wy.” The confession was barely audible, but he heard it and he groaned in response.

I really enjoyed this book so much - it wasn't the story I expected, and I'm so glad it wasn't.  This story takes you back to when Clay and Tabitha were kids and tells about their time growing up and how their friendship helped them deal with their family issues at home.  It also lets you in on how the relationship starts with Tabitha and Wyatt - and how even at a young age, Wyatt had such a tender heart.  You really get to experience growing up with them - including all the good and bad times throughout the years.

It really is a touching - yet heart wrenching story at times about a girl trying to be strong and do the right thing - sacrificing everything she's always wanted for a family who doesn't deserve her love - but through it all she finds her one true love, she just has to learn to put herself first.  Love this series - looking forward to the next one!

what a wonderful story of sacrifice in the name of love!

OKAY so aside from the previous steam factor in this series and the total Alpha's we've been treated to Crossing the Line had a much different vibe to it.

We finally get Wyatt's story a real honest to goodness HERO and sixth generation sheriff in his home town. We meet Tabitha and we also get the full story of how Wyatt and Clay became friends.

We're taken back to when they were all kids and Wyatt first sets eyes on Tabitha someone he's had a crush on since kindergarten. He will eventually become her best friend, her protector her hero all her first's and unfortunately her undoing.

Tabitha had a rough childhood growing up and tended to have her head in the clouds in order to shut out her surrounding's. She used it as a coping mechanism around her alcoholic mother, scumbag older brother and his unsavory friends. Due to her inability to see that she was better off leaving her family definitely brought on by fear she made sure to keep her relationship with Wyatt a secret for years..

Wyatt had always been head over heals for this girl and would do(and had done)anything for her. They get hitched on a whim and right when they're about to start their lives together something horrible and tragic happens, Tabitha leaves with no real explanation as to why and 13 years pass by. Wyatt never got over her and clearly the same went for her.

We find out the why's which honestly were heartbreaking, we root for them to have their second chance at Love and We got to see a wonderful web weaved with the other characters.

Best of all we got to see how there really are true Hero's out there!

A freckle faced, redhead born and raised in Hawaii, Kele Moon has always been a bit of a sore thumb and has come to enjoy the novelty of it. She thrives off pushing the envelope and finding ways to make the impossible work in her story telling. With a mad passion for romance, she adores the art of falling in love. The only rules she believes in is that, in love there are no rules and true love knows no bounds.

So obsessed is she with the beauty of romance and the novelty of creating it she’s lost in her own wonder world most of the time. Thankfully she married her own dark, handsome, brooding hero who had infinite patience for her airy ways and attempts to keep her grounded. When she leaves her keys in the refrigerator or her cell phone in the oven he’s usually there to save her from herself. The two of them now reside in Florida with their three beautiful children who make their lives both fun and challenging in equal parts–They wouldn’t have it any other way
