Nabbed in New Zealand
by Christine Edwards

Taking a break from her job at an art gallery in Charleston, South Carolina, Valla Denier escapes on a week-long camping tour of New Zealand with a small group of companions and two skilled guides. Valla is enchanted by the wild beauty of the South Island and Kaikoura Beach, as well as the local men. After catching the eye of a rugged, drop-dead-gorgeous man in a café, she is shocked to run into him later that evening at a karaoke bar. Setting her shyness aside, she serenades the stranger with a seductive tune. She never imagines the lyrics would be taken literally.
Later that evening, Valla is taken from her campsite and wakes up in a strange room. Her captor is the man from the bar, Brocan Judge, a six foot five wall of muscle with piercing, cobalt blue eyes. He is not responsible for her abduction; his friend has delivered Valla as a gift, and repairing the situation is not as simple as it sounds.
Valla soon learns that Judge is a Dom, intent on punishing her for her willful ways. Even more surprising is Valla’s reaction to him. When he offers her the choice to stay or leave, she must decide how far down the submissive path she is willing to travel. But trust has never been Valla’s strong suit. Will she be able to set aside her inhibitions and give in to the strong hand she has secretly craved, or will doubt trump her growing desire?
Review:
I
found myself lost in this story before I knew what happened. I didn't
see the beauty of this love story coming so it knocked me on my knees. I
seriously love how Christine writes her men. They always know what they
want and they do not give up.
When
I go into reading a BDSM story I always have to remind myself that the
two characters are there and are in this type of a relationship because
they both need something that it can provide for them in a respectful
and loving expression of trust. I always find myself wondering why at
some parts especially the "punishment" encounters. I think, could I ever
trust someone that much and let myself submit in such a profound way?
It's beautiful to me because of that trust aspect.
Christine did an amazing job of building this love story through the exchange of trust between Valla and Judge.
Every
time that Valla did something that deserved "punishment" I'd go what in
the hell are you thinking??? But then I'd back up and go...hmm...maybe
she wanted this. Yea that is exactly what it is. I see that without the
little "missbehaving" moments then there would be no play in that way.
The scenes were smoking hot and I loved how passionately they were written. We feed off each other; it’s a stark reality. He needs my pain and I need his strict hand .…

I want you to use your safe word if you’re scared or in too much pain, understood?
You could never, ever disappoint me, all right, darlin’?”
you. Judge
Judge
was so dominant, passionate and sexy. He had a way about him that just
brooked no argument. But Valla loved testing him and he always gave her
what she really desired in the end, his true dominance. But she actually
held all the power, because she really held his heart.
I am so glad I found Christine Edwards and her amazing stories through my buddy Steph because I have enjoyed them so much.

Valla saved her money and took the vacation of a lifetime to New Zealand. She's taking a week long camping trip with five other strangers, and two guides. She hoped to be exploring and enjoying the beauty of New Zealand - she ended up with a whole lot more adventure than she ever could have imagined.
The camping trip takes them
into remote sections of New Zealand, visiting establishments that are
frequented by locals. During lunch one
day - Valla's breath is taken away by the sexy man she sees getting lunch. That same night she runs into him again at a
bar where the group goes - a little alcohol, and some encouragement, and Valla
is serenading him with "Criminal" by Fiona Apple.
This night changes her whole
trip - alone by the campfire, she is grabbed from behind and when she wakes up she doesn't know where she is. The only thing she does recognize is the man who is at the house
she is at - the guy from the bar.....Brocan Judge. Judge wants her - he's a Dom with a capital
"D" - and he's not going to let her get away. He makes her an enticing offer that she just can't say no to.
I could feel for Valla as she struggled at times
with her decision to stay with Judge for the week, and get to experience being
his sub. She accepted his terms - because she truly felt the attraction between
them, and wanted to see if a relationship could start. The problem was her head
would get in the way - and she worried whether he would take her back to town
in a week like he promised. When Valla
challenges Judge, being the Dom that he is - she faces the consequences.
This
was another great hot read from Christine Edwards, with a Dom that
will have you dropping to your knees in submission. I look forward to
the next country and Dom that Ms. Edwards decides to write about!
